Showcase at Classical:Next
We're happy to be invited to play a showcase concert at the international showcase of Classical:Next. We'll be playing a concert for you on Friday May 21st. 22:45 in the Jurriaanse Zaal of the Doelen, Rotterdam.
What? 30 seconds is the average time museum visitors spend viewing a work of art?
To change that, the Rembrandt Frerichs trio has created a series of concerts in museums. Music will be specifically composed and improvised for selected works of art.
The Contemporary fortepiano line-up, perfectly suited for the museum environment, will help create an intimate concert setting. Audience numbers are limited but those present will find that their influence on the proceedings is quite a bit bigger than during an average museum visit, ensuring an attention span much longer than 30 seconds
Film music for TV documentary
We've been recording film music to an eight-piece TV documentary on NPO2. The film is about statesman Abraham Kuyper, who went on a trip around the mediterranean. We have used the fortepiano and violone, together with Oud, the Tarhu, Clarinet and the violin of Rosanne Phillippens.
Four star review in NRC handelsblad.
Concerthall De Doelen organized a one-day-festival around Rembrandt and his music. Read the review of that festival here
